PROBLEM / OPPORTUNITY: Establish a new mobility solutions business for Google Maps Platform to better serve customers in two industries: On-demand rides & deliveries, Last Mile Fleet solutions.
SOLUTION: Our team built a suite of SDKs, APIs and tools for mobility customers and their end users. These solutions helped our customers improve driver efficiency, consumer satisfaction, ↓ in customer support costs, ↑ successful deliveries/rides and ↑ overall operational/business efficiencies.
ROLE: Joined as the founding designer and built a team of 6 designers and researchers. My team helped develop a deep understanding of customers and their stakeholders (e.g. Couriers, End users and Fleet Managers / Dispatchers) to shape and drive our product strategy - innovate with new solutions, execute with high quality and iterate with velocity.
Led projects that cut across various product areas within Google and drove alignment on what matters for customers and how we could bring the best of Google to address those needs.
IMPACT: Helped the team grow & establish a new $$$M business and land $$$ deals.
